Hello,
We have extended the application deadline for ComSciConCANhttps://www.comsciconcanada.org/! Applications are now due on February 17th at 11:59 PM EST. This workshop is the only Canada-wide science communication training opportunity designed for graduate students.
We would love to see more students from RFHS at the University of Manitoba be considered for the workshop.
I am writing to ask if you would please forward the following opportunity to your graduate students so that they might apply?
We also have a pre-recorded information session on our websitehttps://www.comsciconcanada.org/application.
Thank you very much, and please let us know if you have any questions.
Best,
Ryan Ha

Are you interested in strengthening your ability to communicate your science to non-specialist audiences?
Would you like to meet other graduate students across the country who are passionate about science communication?
Do you want to network with professionals to explore science communication in all its facets?
This is your opportunity!
ComSciCon is a series of workshops focused on enhancing communication skills and fostering an inclusive community that can effectively communicate scientific information to academic and non-academic audiences. Created in 2013 by graduate students at Harvard University and MIT, over 2000 graduate students have now benefited from learning the skills needed to communicate complex concepts within science, engineering and other technical fields to reach broader and more diverse audiences. ComSciCon has now come to Canada to empower the next generation of leaders in STEM fields across the country.
This year, ComSciCon Canada will be holding a National Workshop (ComSciConCANhttps://www.comsciconcanada.org/) from June 27th to 29th at McMaster University. The conference has no fee for selected applicants, and any necessary accommodation will be arranged and covered by ComSciConCAN.
The application deadline has been EXTENDED to February 17th at 11:59 PM EST and the application form is available here: https://bit.ly/ComSciConApp2025
