Hello Riddell Faculty, As you may have seen throughout the morning, we've been setting up the entries for our faculty's Pumpkin Carving Contest, and they are now on display in the Ed Leith Cretaceous Menagerie! Be sure to help yourself to a little gummy treat while browsing the entries, and discard the wrapper properly. Voting is now live, and open to everyone in the faculty! Riddell Faculty Pumpkin Carving Contest - Public Vote

Hello Riddell Faculty! The Dean's Office is hosting a Pumpkin Carving Contest this year, and voting will be open to the public! Each entry will be submitted from various student groups and units within the Riddell Faculty, and they will be put on display in the Ed Leith Cretaceous Menagerie to be judged. Pumpkins will be put on display for voting from October 30 to October 31, and the winning pumpkin will be announced on October 31. Halloween treats will be provided to those who visit the Menagerie during the voting period. Voting is limited to one entry per person. Review the attached poster for details. Experiential Learning in The Riddell Faculty November 26th from 1:30pm to 3:30pm in the 5th Floor Theatre Description: Hands-on learning? Career preparation? learning-by-doing? the latest fad in education? What exactly is experiential learning and how does it fit in your courses and programs? In this workshop you'll explore these questions alongside other members of the Riddell Faculty and learn about key principles of experiential learning pedagogy. About the presenter: Gerardo (Gera) is a Faculty Specialist in the Office of Experiential Learning at The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning. With a background in community engaged learning, travel programs, and classroom teaching, he supports faculties and instructors to integrate different types of experiential learning into courses and programs.
