All university employees including full-time and part-time faculty and staff are required to complete the Government of Manitoba’s annual anti-racism training, in accordance with provincial legislation. The foundational anti-racism course is available in UM Learn and takes approximately two to three hours to complete. The interactive course includes slides, videos, resources, and an optional self-reflection journal. Completion of this training is automatically recorded in VIP. Once employees complete this foundational course, they can fulfil the annual training requirement in future years by either repeating this course or completing the UM Continuing Anti-Racism Training plus self-reported completion of a UM anti-racism learning opportunity. Full details on this option will be communicated in early 2026. Hi All, Below is the info about the next 'in-person' Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training session. Date: January 28, 2026 (Wednesday) Time: 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM Room: 243, Wallace Bldg. Anyone who works with hazardous chemicals (including compressed gases) must receive WHMIS training either online through UM Learn or through our in-person sessions (3 sessions each year). Hi everyone, The Student Accessibility Services (SAS) exam centre front office is not useable currently. Our staff have relocated to 111 UMSU University Centre (the former Pharmacy and postal office) where we will remain until the end of the final exam period.
