All new faculty members are encouraged to enroll in this workshop series, and we also encourage you to circulate this more broadly within your faculty because any of the sessions offered can serve as a valuable refresher for those looking to revisit best practices in research management. The Series consists of 4 core and 4 optional sessions as shown below. You may register in only 1 session, as per your interest and needs. All sessions will be conducted virtually through Microsoft Teams. Each session will be offered twice a year to give participants the flexibility to choose the date that works best for them. If a participant attends four core sessions and one optional session over a two-year period, they will receive a completion letter that could be included in a tenure and promotion file as an example of professional growth in research management. In an effort to provide better customer service and increase efficiency with processing, HR sends regular communication to provide PSUs with tips on a variety of subjects. We welcome your feedback. Subject: Employment verification letter requests Did You Know… HR has streamlined the process regarding how employees and former employees can request Employment Verification Letters. Effective immediately, they should submit their request by completing the following Microsoft Form: https://forms.office.com/r/pCFDBckMGe This form ensures that requests are automatically routed to the appropriate HR or Payroll unit. It also reduces the back-and-forth emails between the requestor and the letter-providing units, streamlining the process for everyone involved. Hello Riddell Faculty, To streamline our communications and ensure we are reaching the right audiences for specific communications, we have revised some of our existing email lists and created new lists: Unchanged lists: Riddell-faculty-graduate-students Riddell-faculty-undergraduate-students Riddell-faculty-adjunct Modified lists: Riddell-faculty-teaching-staff, changed to Riddell-UMFA. This list includes FT Professors and Instructors of all ranks. Riddell-non-faculty, changed to Riddell-Emeriti-Scholar. This list includes all Senior Scholars and Professors Emeritus/Emerita NEW lists: Riddell-faculty-retirees: staff and faculty retirees (to be populated) Riddell-faculty-term-staff: This list includes all term appointments: Postdoctoral Fellows, Research Associates, Other Academic appointments, Associate Postdoctoral Fellows, Research Affiliates, AESES Project positions, AESES hourly appointments Riddell-faculty-sessional: CUPE unit 2 sessional staff These lists will be maintained on an ongoing basis as new hires are processed or staff appointments end (retirements, resignations, appointment end dates, etc).
