Hello Riddell Faculty,

On Tuesday, October 7th, the University of Manitoba will be hosting the ASE Career Fair. This is a great opportunity to connect with organizations in Agriculture, Science, Engineering, and of course, Environment. There will be available employment for full-time, part-time, co-op, and summer positions.

The event will take place from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on campus in the Multipurpose Room, Floor 2 of UMSU University Centre. Please feel free to promote this to anyone who may be interested!

So far, there are over 50 exhibitors registered. These include a range of Agricultural employers who may be of interest to students in biological, chemical and environmental sciences/studies. EER students may also wish to connect with energy and utilities employers like MB Hydro, Tundra Oil & Gas, Vale Base Metals, and NexGold Mining Corp. A number of exhibitors have expressed interest in connecting with specific groups of students. Here are just a few to highlight:

* BCIT is looking to connect with students who are interested in continuing studies in Health Sciences; * Both ATCO and Federated Co-op Ltd have expressed interest in connecting with COMP students; * Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure would like to connect with students in environment and sciences, especially re. co-op opportunities, * Kinross Gold is recruiting for both summer and full-time opportunities for Geosciences students at the graduate and undergrad level.
