How Generative AI can Support Scientific Writing
March 12, 2026 223 Wallace Building 1:00 PM
Dr. Aline Bieri and Ms. Nina Isabelle Schnatz of the Zurich University of Applied Science are researchers that focus on AI for scientific writing. They will be presenting a seminar on how generative AI can support academic writing across different phases of the writing process while fostering responsible and reflective use. They will address practical strategies, common pitfalls, and ways of integrating AI in a manner that strengthens, rather than replaces, disciplinary thinking.
Dr. Bieri and Ms. Schnatz will be at The University of Manitoba from March 9-13 and are available for one-on-one meetings during this time as well. Please contact Lisa.Friedrich@umanitoba.camailto:Lisa.Friedrich@umanitoba.ca for more information .
