Riddell Faculty Newsletter - Fall 2025
Hello Riddell Faculty,
I am excited to share the latest Faculty Newsletter with you all! A compressed PDF version is attached to this email, but you can also access the newsletter using the following link - https://umweb-edit.ad.umanitoba.ca/environment-earth-resources/sites/environ...
A simplified text-only version will be uploaded next week, and physical copies will be available from the Dean's Office soon after. If you would prefer to view the newsletter as spreads, let me know and I can send you a revised copy.
I want to personally thank everyone who was able to submit for this round - there's a lot of great updates and content to read about from across the faculty! Another email will be sent out in the coming weeks to gather content for the Winter newsletter, but if you have anything you'd like to share or celebrate now, feel free to let me know.
Thanks, and have a great weekend!

The University of Manitoba campuses and research spaces are located on original lands of Anishinaabeg, Ininiwak, Anisininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Dene and Inuit, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. UM recognizes that the Treaties signed on these lands are a lifelong, enduring relationship, and we are dedicated to upholding their spirit and intent. We acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past and the present. With this understanding, we commit to supporting Indigenous excellence through active Reconciliation, meaningful change, and the creation of an environment where everyone can thrive. Our collaboration with Indigenous communities is grounded in respect and reciprocity and this guides how we move forward as an institution.
