Upcoming Events: Care Microgrant Panel Discussion (UMIH + MAWA + QPOC Winnipeg) Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. 7 PM - 9 PM CT. Artists and art-lovers who identify as BIPOC are invited to an online gathering featuring guest panelists, Hassaan Ashraf & Bella Luna moderated by Ekene Maduka, to talk about the work in an upcoming in-person exhibition entitled Care at MAWA (show opening pending Government restrictions) and the issues it raises. The panel will explore both the possibilities and limits of regarding artmaking as a type of research, particularly within anti-colonial, anti-racist practices. Care - In-person Exhibition of works by Microgrant recipients (UMIH + MAWA + QPOC Winnipeg) (Opening dates pending Government restrictions) at MAWA - 611 Main Street Join us in celebrating the opening of Care an in-person exhibition of works through microgrants showing at MAWA (611 Main Street). The Gallery will be accessible Wednesdays & Fridays from 10 AM - 4 PM CT. Please note we will update folks on the duration of the show and visiting hours pending the lifting of Government restrictions.
