Write-on-line
Monday and Thursday morning Write-On-Sites are now Write-ON-LINES. Write-on-sites have gone virtual to prioritize public health and safety while still maintaining our sense of connection during these isolating times. Virtual write-on-sites will continue every Monday and Thursday from 9 am to 12 pm. Everyone is welcome to write together, apart. Please email Serenity at: joo@cc.umanitoba.ca for the Zoom invite.

We're thrilled to announce the microgrant recipients from round 1 and round 2! 2021-22 Call for Applications
The French Institutes for Advanced Study Fellowship Programme offers 10-month fellowships in the four Institutes of Paris, Lyon, Montpellier and Marseille. It welcomes applications from high level international scholars and scientists primarily in the fields of the social sciences and the humanities (SSH). 31 positions are available for the 2021-2022 Academic Year. The Society for the Humanities at Cornell University invites applications for residential fellowships from scholars whose research projects reflect on the 2https://societyhumanities.as.cornell.edu/2020-21-fabrication021-22 theme of Afterliveshttps://societyhumanities.as.cornell.edu/2021-22-afterlives. Up to six Fellows will be appointed. The fellowships are held for one academic year. Each Society Fellow will receive $55,000. The application deadline is October 1, 2020.
The Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences at Simon Fraser University (SFU) is pleased to announce the call for applications for the Jack and Doris Shadbolt Fellowships in the Humanities, for the 2021-22 academic year. Worth up to $60,000/year, these fellowships are designed for engaged scholars, artists, writers, and knowledge keepers who will help us imagine how we can make the world we live in better through the act of world-making in the creative arts and/or publicly engaged scholarship in the humanities, in alignment with the fundamental values of advancing reconciliation and equity, diversity and inclusion, communication, coordination, and collaboration. IMéRA (the Institute for Advanced Study of Aix-Marseille University) invites applicants for the 2021-2022 calls for residency. UM Libraries: Curb-side Pickup In more good book news, UM Libraries have launched a curbside pickup service, operating from the shipping entrance of Dafoe Library. The service includes materials from all libraries on both campuses. Currently it is only available to faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral students, however an expanded service for undergraduate students is being tentatively planned for September.
