Care - In-person Exhibition of works by Microgrant recipients (UMIH + MAWA + QPOC Winnipeg) (Opening dates pending Government restrictions) at MAWA - 611 Main Street Join us in celebrating the opening of Care an in-person exhibition of works through microgrants showing at MAWA (611 Main Street). Please note we will update folks on the duration of the show and visiting hours pending the lifting of Government restrictions via the UMIH social channels. Of interest: The Lake Winnipeg Project: Decolonizing Lens, NFB, WAG Event for Indigenous Peoples Day (Monday, June 21, 2021. 6 PM CST) In Honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day on Monday, June 21 the National Film Board of Canada, the Winnipeg Art Gallery and the Decolonizing Lens are proud to present the premiere screening of Kevin Settee’s The Lake Winnipeg Project documentary series, followed by a water-protector discussion panel with Kevin Settee and community representatives Kailey Arthurson (Fisher River), Marcel Hardisty (Camp Morningstar), Ivy Canard (Sagkeeng) and Waylon Bittern (Poplar River).
