The Interdisciplinary Research Cluster on Power and Resistance in Latin America Presents INDIGENOUS ORGANIZATION AND CONFLICT IN CAUCA, COLOMBIA: THE CASE OF THE INDIGENOUS REGIONAL COUNCIL OF CAUCA (CRIC) 307 Tier Building, Fort Garry Campus, University of Manitoba May 28, 2:30pm
This event will involve a visiting delegation of Colombian Indigenous leaders. A representative from the group will present on the history of struggle and organization of the Nasa people of Cauca, Colombia, in particular in relation to the Consejo Regional Indígena del Cauca (CRIC). They will also discuss the Plan de Vida-Proyecto Nasa, which is their regional plan for autonomy and development.
