Upcoming Events: Care Microgrant Panel Discussion (UMIH + MAWA + QPOC Winnipeg) Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. 7 PM - 9 PM CT. Artists and art-lovers who identify as BIPOC are invited to an online gathering featuring guest panelists, moderated by Ekene Maduka, to talk about the work in an upcoming exhibition entitled Care at MAWA (June 4th to 25th) and the issues it raises. The panel will explore both the possibilities and limits of regarding artmaking as a type of research, particularly within anti-colonial, anti-racist practices. On-going Opportunities: UMIH External Grant Support:

The UMIH is seeking proposals for its External Grant Support program. This is an initiative to help researchers in the Faculty of Arts who are seeking external funding for conferences, workshops, colloquia, and other local research events.

This program was designed to provide opportunities for scholars to secure support, (both cash and in-kind), from the UMIH to leverage funds from other agencies.
