The UMIH Research Cluster on Power and Resistance in Latin America presents: The Historical and Contemporary Causes of «Survival Migration». From Central America’s Northern Triangle by Dr.Liisa North (York University). Thursday, 13th January 2022 from 3:30 - 5:00 PM CT Liisa L. North (Professor Emeritus, York University) has written numerous journalistic pieces published in various magazines and national newspapers in Canada and Ecuador. She has been Director of the Centre for Research on Latin America and the Caribbean (CERLAC, York University), President of the Canadian Association of Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CALACS), and director of various institution-building projects financed by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) in Ecuador and other Andean countries.
