Upcoming Events: The Writing Towards a Just World Research Cluster presents Variations of Writing Practice: Ways to Get the Work Done Wednesday, October 25 from 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM CT Room 208 Architecture 2 building Join on Zoom using this linkhttps://us06web.zoom.us/j/83587437643?pwd=CKzSPWuCuUa6Xerl4Y7BxeHD01a4eb.1%20%20Meeting%20ID:%20835%208743%207643%20Passcode:%20433042 ( Meeting ID: 835 8743 7643 & Passcode: 433042) U of Manitoba professors Diane Driedger, Christine Stewart and Niigaan Sinclair will explain the nitty-gritty processes of how they accomplish their tasks as writers of different genres, for example op-eds, creative nonfiction, and poetry. How do they discover ideas? How do they conduct research? How does revision and editing occur? How do they share and/or publish their work? There will be ample time for the audience to ask questions as well as for writing tips, strategies, and techniques to be shared. Please see the attached poster for further information.

NOTE: presentation and discussion will be in Spanish We are pleased to welcome folks to stream this panel featuring a presentation by Dr. Jorge Nallim, coordinator of the UMIH Research Cluster on Power and Resistance in Latin America. Dr. Nallim will be joined by esteemed speakers : Sandra McGee Deutsch (University of Texas El Paso) and Ricardo Pasolini (Universidad del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina) for this panel moderated by Adriana Valobra.
