Send the email, Jim. 30 words is great. Give them a deadline of a week: Friday, April 12. And if they don't come through, their bio will read: "Biography unavailable at press time."

P.S. I don't want pics from presenters, other than Jane (I've worked that out) and the roundtable panelists (maybe).

We do have long bios from a lot of people from when we did the SSHRC grant, but it would take work to shorten them. I can easily send an email out to all the presenters asking for a biography: maximum 30 words. (I looked at what I did for the conference committee bios, and that seems to me about right. Is 30 words too long? I think some people would complain about less! And I could ask for them back in, say, 5 days.

Sorry about the repeat cell no., Jim. (I'm tired. Gah.)
I have to throw something into the ad package to encourage folks to buy -- meaning bios. I didn't say that we'd have *everyone's* bios. I most definitely have all roundtable speakers' bios as well as Jane's. That's good enough for me.
If you do wanna gather bios (which we'll need for introductions, in any case), I'm talking about a sentence. Two max.
I'm wanting to go to print around May 3 (the earliest); May 6 (the absolute latest). In other words, I would like those one sentence bios by MONDAY, APRIL 29. THAT, IN FACT, IS MY GENERAL DEADLINE FOR ALL INFO/COPY.

Hi Krishna,
I have no idea, of course, of appropriate rates. Two things: we don’t currently have speakers bios. We can try to put them together. How long would they be and when would you need them?
The other thing is that you have my cell number twice.
