Hi Everyone: I have been inviting people who've written on labour history to submit proposals and have started to get good responses. But a question has come up that I can't answer about travel subsidies for low-income and precariously employed scholars and activists. I do not recall that we have a policy, but perhaps the committee developed one at a meeting in the summer when I was away. I don't see anything about that on our website. If we do have one, could someone please send me the details? If we don't have one, I suggest that it's urgent to get one before our deadline of 28 February. The possibility of travel support will make a critical difference to some potential presenters. One for sure is a person we'd be very happy to have. If we do not have a policy, I suggest we develop one before the deadline, even if that requires us to meet (as it were) online. Thoughts? julie
