Dear committee members: As promised, the updated list of panels and the schedule to date are attached. We will be sending out a version with panel chairs proposed before the next meeting, which is scheduled for 9 February.
If there’s a panel you would like to chair, please volunteer asap, so you can get your first choice. We are happy to accommodate your chairing preferences!
From the Program committee, Julie Guard and Jim Mochoruk
If at all possible, could I have my session scheduled for the afternoon, please? I’ll be teaching every morning that week.
Sorry to have missed the meeting — I’m here in Toronto for meetings.

Hi Esyllt,
We’ve labeled your panel “Teaching and Learning the Strike.” Since we don’t know the participants, we need at least a one sentence description. How is “University of Manitoba students research the General Strike, organized by Esyllt Jones”? Does this fit? You had mentioned perhaps including a teacher? We can amend this in future drafts and in the final program, but we want to give people and idea of what it is.

Hi Everyone: I am confused about this message. I had to miss the first half-hour of Saturday’s meeting, but I reported on the conference panels, which Jim M and I had revised that morning, and I thought that any discussion about the panels took place in that part of the meeting. If this change was discussed before I arrived, I would have missed it. But I expect and hope that program changes will be discussed at our monthly meetings before being decided upon. Please correct me if I am in error and the change was discussed before I arrived. Best, julie
