Thanks Tim and Victor. We’ll have to talk about how handle this when we meet on Saturday. In the meantime, we should be careful how we advertise the open character of the Keynote talk. At the very least we should let people know that capacity will be limited.

If you do wanna gather bios (which we'll need for introductions, in any case), I'm talking about a sentence. Two max.
I'm wanting to go to print around May 3 (the earliest); May 6 (the absolute latest). In other words, I would like those one sentence bios by MONDAY, APRIL 29. THAT, IN FACT, IS MY GENERAL DEADLINE FOR ALL INFO/COPY.

We do have long bios from a lot of people from when we did the SSHRC grant, but it would take work to shorten them. I can easily send an email out to all the presenters asking for a biography: maximum 30 words. (I looked at what I did for the conference committee bios, and that seems to me about right. Is 30 words too long? I think some people would complain about less! And I could ask for them back in, say, 5 days.
