Hello, We are now recruiting applicants for the next cohort of the President’s Student Leadership Program (PSLP),https://umanitoba.ca/asper/programs-of-study/presidents-student-leadership-program/program-details with a deadline of March 6th.
We would greatly appreciate if you would encourage students that you know to apply, and share this message with colleagues to encourage their students.
PSLP is a co-curricular, fully inclusive development program funded through an endowment to the UM creating the Burns Leadership Institute in 2018. The program is unique in Canada and brings together 24 student fellows from across faculties and disciplines each year, 70% from UM and 30% from other postsecondaries in the province.
This will be the eighth cohort of PSLP Fellows, with a vibrant alumni contributing in their fields and communities in exciting ways.
We seek applications from students from all subjects and all levels of study (undergraduate to PhD) with demonstrated formal or informal leadership experience, potential, and commitment to learn more. Applicants must not be graduating before April 2027. Pls see selection criteria and eligibility on the Institute websitehttps://umanitoba.ca/asper/programs-of-study/presidents-student-leadership-program.
Our research suggests that personal encouragement from faculty members, heads, directors and advisors is highly significant in leading students to apply.
Further, we ask for two detailed testimonials, one of which must be from a professor, Dean, instructor, or other academic.
Please feel free to share this message and attachments among your colleagues and student advisors, and don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.
