What makes UM a vibrant community for you?
[Announcement-Header-1200px-2] Message from Dr. Diane Hiebert-Murphy, Provost and Vice-President (Academic)
Dear UM Community, Earlier this year at the UM Strategic Plan launch, we declared that one of our fundamental commitments is to "fostering a vibrant community." We want you to hear what it means to you. That's why, at the Office of Equity Transformation Town Hall on Nov. 6, we'll be asking this question: What makes UM a vibrant community for you? Please join us to provide your input and to learn more about the work and accomplishments of the Office of Equity Transformation (OET). This Town Hall will feature community members involved in building towards greater equity, anti-oppression, anti-racism, anti-ableism, diversity and inclusion at UM. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome! Come join us and:
* Reflect on what makes UM a vibrant community for you and have your photo taken at the Vibrant Community Engagement Booth - adding to the many diverse faces of our community. (You can also provide written feedback or send a selfie-video with your response.) * Enjoy interactive booths that showcase current programs advancing equity, anti-oppression and transformation at UM. * Receive a beautifully designed OET tote bag! (first 150 guests) * Stay to observe and/or participate in our Model EDIA Community of Practice following the program. * Connect over light refreshments. This joyful event will celebrate the movement towards building individual and collective transformation! Join the conversation about the kind of university community we want to create together.
