Message from Laurie Schnarr, Vice-Provost (Students)
Dear Students,
I am pleased to share that the University of Manitoba and the University of Manitoba Faculty Association (UMFA) have reached a tentative agreement, meaning there will be no labour disruption. This is great news for our community, as it ensures that all classes, labs, and academic activities will continue without interruption.
We know that the uncertainty of the past few weeks has been difficult for many of you, and we appreciate your patience.
Wishing you the best in the final weeks of the winter term.
Be well.
...Laurie

I acknowledge, with humility and gratitude, that the University of Manitoba campuses are located on original lands of the Anishinaabeg, Ininew, Anisininew, Dakota and Dene peoples, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. As a white settler of English and German descent I am committed to walking alongside Indigenous students, colleagues, friends, and neighbours and doing the work that is necessary to honour the truth, and contribute through meaningful action to lasting positive change.
