We are excited to say that Health in Common (http://www.healthincommon.ca/) hasagreed to partner with us (Resource Conservation Manitoba) on this, so we are good to go!
The details are still being confirmed, but mark Tuesday,February 11th between 7 and 9 pm (not sure if it will be the whole two hours,or a portion thereof) in your calendar for this inspiring and heart-warming evening.

Hello AT Network partners!
Dr.Catherine OBrien, Canadas leading expert on planning forsustainable happiness, will be in Winnipeg for a consultation in early February(10th, 11th or 12th we still have towork out the specific details). She has agreed to speak to members ofWinnipegs AT Network for a reduced rate of $500 (down from $1500, as shewill already be in town), and we are currently looking for partners to helpshare the cost of her speaking fee.
Sheis a Research Associate of the Centre for Sustainable Transportation, and sheis the co-author of Child and Youth Friendly Land Use and TransportPlanning Guidelines for Canadian Provinces and Territories. In addition,Dr. OBrien has drawn from the fields of positive psychology andsustainability to develop a new concept: sustainable happiness. She definesthis as the pursuit of happiness that is respectful of other people, thenatural environment and future generations. Her work emphasizes thesignificance of creating communities that meet the needs and aspirations ofchildren and planning for sustainable happiness (see attached studies).
