MAN SENT TO HOSPITAL

AFTER BEING HIT BY SUV

A MAN was taken to hospital after he was struck by a vehicle near Main Street Thursday.

Shortly after noon, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Main Street and Redwood Avenue, the Winnipeg Police Service said.

A blue SUV with a smashed windshield and a damaged front end could be seen, surrounded by police tape. Police said no other updates were available.

The incident took place approximately 200 metres away from another collision at Mountain Avenue and Main Street last week, when police said a woman in her 50s was taken to hospital in unstable condition.
