Teen cyclist killed

AN 18-year-old cyclist has died after being hit by a semi-trailer in Steinbach Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened at 2.45 p.m. at the junction of highways 12 and 52. The semi was hauling hogs and was travelling west on Highway 52 when the male driver hit the cyclist.

The cyclist, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

RCMP continue to investigate. Alcohol was not a factor.
