Survey identifies obstacles for 'interested but concerned' group
A new national survey in the US interviewed 9,376 adults who would like to bike more but are being held back for various reasons ("interested but concerned" group).

Here are 5 highlights (though it's worth checking into the details):
1. One-third of people who want to bike more are dissatisfied with existing bike infrastructure. 2. Bicycle ownership is a major barrier to riding, especially among poorer households. 3. Fear of being personally targeted is a major barrier to riders of colour. 4. The western US is much better at the bike + transit combo. 5. Every single demographic group wants protected bike lanes.
Each of these sound pretty applicable to Winnipeg as well.
