CALS board meeting, March 4th 9am to 11am
Hi Everyone,
Please find attached the materials need for our upcoming board meeting on March 4th from 9am to 11am central time (these materials are also attached to the calendar invite).
Can the chair of each subcommittee please fill out the subcommittee report template (attached) and email it me to ahead of our meeting if you have not done so already?
After the board e-voted to extend Dr. Rebecca Genoe’s term as Editor of Leisure/Loisir for two years, Dr. Genoe accepted. On behalf of all the board members (many of whom expressed thanks in the qualitative section of the survey), we are grateful and excited for your continued service! Because e-voting is not yet in our bylaws, we will have a motion and vote at on Monday to formally extend the term.
Please note that our annual board meeting will be held on May 15th and 16th on UM campus or zoom (please see Dr. Lopez’s related email). Also, our annual general meeting date is June 5th at 10 am central. If you did not receive calendar invites for these dates, please let me know.
Thank you,
Fenton -- Dr. Fenton Litwiller (they/them/theirs) President, Canadian Association for Leisure Studies (CALS) Associate Professor Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management | University of Manitoba 123 Frank Kennedy Centre | Winnipeg MB | R3T 2N2 204.474.8412 fenton.litwiller@umanitoba.camailto:fentonl@umanitoba.ca [signature_2837124687]
The University of Manitoba campuses are located on original lands of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Metis Nation. I respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, I acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past, and I am dedicated to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
Hi all,
I forgot to add the minutes from our last meeting. Please see attached to be approved on Monday.
Thank you!
Fenton
