Hi Everyone,

Please see the minutes from our March 2026 board meeting as well as the agenda for our upcoming board meeting attached. This board meeting will take place at CCLR on Tuesday, May 19th from 4.30pm to 6.30 pm Pacific Time. This meeting will be held in the Collaboration room at Courtyard by Marriott Nanaimo. You should also have received a zoom invitation in your calendar.

At this meeting, I would like to have a discussion and then make a recommendation to the incoming board regarding CALS’ participation at Congress 2027, as the new board will need to make a final decision by September. Please click on the link I provide in the agenda to inform our discussion and recommendation. Consider how the format for future Congress events has shifted.

While I have included time for each subcommittee to speak at our outgoing meeting on May 19, please let me know if this time is not needed.

At the outgoing/incoming board meeting on Friday May 22, I expect each subcommittee to share the tasks they worked on the past three years and make recommendations for the new board around next steps. Each subcommittee will have a maximum of 5 to 6 minutes to share because this meeting is scheduled for 1.5 hours, so make sure you prepare a succinct presentation. Please email me any slides you want to use ahead of our meeting so I can create one slide deck.
