Good afternoon first year MOT, MPT and MSc Rehab Sciences students, Please be advised of a scholarship opportunity, Judy and Gerry McDole Graduate Entrance Scholarship, offered by the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences (RFHS). CoRS is currently accepting nominations, and are due October 15, 2025 at 4:00 pm. The CoRS nomination form can be found at: https://forms.office.com/r/2JJPx5NcNX This Form/survey is to collect applications from current first-year and full-time students who want to be considered for nomination for this award and are from one of the College of Rehabilitation Sciences (CoRS) graduate level programs: occupational therapy, physical therapy, or thesis-based MSc rehab sciences. All eligible CoRS student applications for nomination consideration will be reviewed by the CoRS awards committee. The selected CoRS student to be nominated will be notified of their selection prior to their nomination being completed and submitted to RFHS graduate awards. CoRS awards committee can only put forward one student nomination for this award annually. One recipient from all of Rady Faculty of Health Sciences is chosen for this award annually. Green chairs with round base

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well! It has come to my attention that the green chairs with round bases and wheels are being moved between R230 and R236. I understand that some of you find these chairs quite comfortable, and it's great to see that they're being put to good use! To make sure both rooms have enough chairs available for everyone, could we please keep the total number of green chairs in R230 and R236 to no more than six at any given time? This message was sent from outside the University of Manitoba. Hello Everyone! We hope everyone has had a great start to the new school year! On behalf of the University of Alberta OTPDC Spirit committee, we are excited to invite you to participate in the 2025 g'OT Spirit Challenge! We hope you are all excited to share in the diversity and community of the OT profession and showcase your program's creativity. Attached to this email, you will find documents outlining the details of the challenge, however, you can read the most important details below. 1. The theme of this year's challenge is "OT Here, There, and Everywhere". As you all know, OT is a broad and diverse profession, we can't wait to see how this translates for each program. 2. Each video submission should be around 2-5 minutes in length and are due on Saturday October 18th at 12 PM MST 3. Video submissions will be sent by email to aebenson(a)ualberta.ca<mailto:aebenson@ualberta.ca>. Please include "g'OT Spirit Challenge and the name of your school in the subject line. 4. We will upload video submissions to the g'OT Spirit Facebook page (which can be found here<https://www.facebook.com/ThegOTspiritchallenge/>) 5. ) on October 19th at 12 PM MST. Voting will be open from October 19-26th. Voting will close at 11:59 PM on the 26th. 6. Winners will be announced on October 27th (World OT Day!) based on which post receives the most likes.
