Hello We are trialing an escape room on Wednesday, Feb 25th, 5:30-6:30 PM and hope to have 20 RFHS students join us. Students would be placed in interprofessional teams for the escape room. The escape room, we anticipate, will take about 30 minutes. The teams would then participate in a facilitated debrief immediately following the escape room. Pizza will be served. We aim to put the fun in learning and would really appreciate your input. Please see the attached poster for the QR code to register for the escape room. Registration closes Feb 20th, 2026. Endodontic Treatment Guidelines

D3 and D4 students, For teeth planned for endodontic treatment you must have the following information included in your patient notes: Tooth # - percussion sensitivity (Yes/No), apical palpation tenderness (Yes/No), EPT results, cold test results, mobility, any probing depths >3mm, restorable (Yes/No) Then with that information you need to clearly indicate a pulpal and periapical diagnosis for the tooth in question Without data collection and a diagnosis, you should never proceed with endodontic treatment for a tooth (at the college or in private practice). If the treatment is elective endo then you still need to collect and report all data and pulpal and periapical diagnosis, then clearly state why elective endodontic treatment is needed. All endo treatment assignments are managed through the PCCs Elaine and Athena. They must be aware of when you are moving forward with endo treatment on any assigned patient. For all endo co-assignments within D3 and D4 these must be emailed to myself, Elaine and Athena to be reviewed and reassigned. If I do not see the information listed above the case will be on hold until you have properly collected/recorded in the patient chart the necessary pulp vitality testing information and confirmed an endodontic diagnosis. Change to Lab Work Requirements

D4 Class, In consideration of your request to reduce your lab work for Term 2, I will support you by allowing you to send your complete denture cases to the lab for set up of all denture teeth. For CUD, CLD or CUD/CLD (conventional or immediate) cases, you can send these to the lab without setting your anterior 6 and have the lab set ALL teeth. With this change, ensure that you have your case mounted correctly at the established VDO, mark your midline on the maxillary cast and send the denture teeth with the case. If at your wax try-in/tooth try-in stage the teeth are not set properly and changes are required, you will need to make the modifications to the tooth placement yourself. We do not want the lab to complete multiple tooth set ups for your case. You have one shot at having the lab set all of your denture teeth so ensure your VDO is correct and confirm repeatedly that your CR is accurate, and the case is mounted properly. For all partial denture cases you will still be required to mount the cases and set the denture teeth yourself. I hope this helps support more study time for your boards. Dr. Reeve Trenna M.
