Updates for clinical activities:
1. Infection prevention and control guidelines are not suggestions, they are mandatory. I have indicated to all clinical staff to write IPAC breaches and submit them to me for review. If at any point, a student has a major breach or repeated minor breaches there is the potential for clinical activities to be limited for that student while IPAC remediation occurs. * the college follows the Manitoba Dental Association IPAC mandated policies and protocols. Accepting these guidelines and incorporating them into your workflow will be essential for your entire career * Wash your hands
2. Government of Canada Fund Request * Check your axium fund request forms. If the form has not yet been approved, you will need to review & update as the form has been modified and requires more detailed information * We added clarity to the questions that need to be answered/confirmed by the patient * The form has been divided so that both DH & Dental Students can add/update their own treatment plans/procedure codes and amounts for the same patient. Any changes, additions, modifications can be done but then you must resubmit the form to Associate Dean for review * Anytime they update a tx plan or amount, you need to resubmit the form to the Associate Dean indicating there has been a change and get it approved * Include all treatment costs - do not forget to add in xrays & exams on the fund request * Notify your PCC when treatment is completed so that the funding can be applied * Students all have access to view all of the tabs so you can verify the status of your requests
