Dear Bachelor of Education Students,
We have resolved the issue with the online professional learning module, Introduction to Neurodiversity in Education: Foundations for Neuro-Inclusive Teaching and Professional Practice, and it should now be available in UM Learn.
This professional learning is required and due to challenges with access we have extended the date that it must be completed to November 2, 2026, at 11:59 PM. It is self-paced and will take approximately 4.5 hours to complete.
The module has been added to your Practicum course in UM Learn. To access it:
1. Go to Contents in your Practicum course. 2. Select the Introduction to Neurodiversity in Education module. 3. Download the accompanying workbook as a PDF. 4. View the professional learning video by pressing Play.
You may complete the professional learning at your own pace and return to it as needed.
Once you have completed the professional learning, you will receive a notification that you have earned an award. To access and download your certificate:
1. Go to Assessments > Awards > My Awards in UM Learn. 2. Select Introduction to Neurodiversity in Education. 3. Click Generate Certificate to download your certificate as a PDF.
Thank you for your attention to this required professional learning.
If you have any questions, please contact Adwoa Amponsa at amponsa2@myumanitoba.camailto:amponsa2@myumanitoba.ca
Kind regards, Nadine
