Dear Stand members,

The election is perhaps the most important time for politicians to hear your concerns. You may already be doing excellent elections work through Stand's Speak the Name! campaignhttp://www.standcanada.org/mail/users/link.php?UserID=6704&Newsletter=243&List=2&LinkType=Send&LinkID=1394. Now, we have another easy way for you to act against genocide in Darfur.

Please click herehttp://www.standcanada.org/mail/users/link.php?UserID=6704&Newsletter=243&List=2&LinkType=Send&LinkID=1395 to send a message to the candidates in your riding. You will have the chance to edit a sample message, or to simply send the message in a matter of seconds!

Here's how it works: 1. Edit the sample message, or simply leave it as is. 2. Add your name, email, and location; 3. Hit the `send my message` button.

Your message will be sent to each of the major candidates in your riding, and it will be copied to their respective party leaders and foreign affairs critics.

If you choose to change your message before sending, here are some points you may wish to add:

1. Ask your candidates when is the next public debate or event that you can attend; 2. Tell your candidates how many people in their constituency are part of your Stand chapter, and that you are all looking forward to hearing their response; 3. If you want to have more influence on your candidates, ask whether they need volunteers for their campaigns; 4. Tell your candidates that Canada should ...

Or, you can keep things very easy! It can take only 60 or 90 seconds to send our sample message to the main candidates in your riding. Once you send your message, you will receive a confirmation email, including a message that you can forward to family and friends. This tool has been developed as a collaboration between Stand Canada and Save Darfur Canada.
