Hi Harshvi,
We are hosting an online OAT session. This session is free for learners. Could you please send this out to those on your mailing list? I put all of the information and the registration link for you below.
Opioid Agonist Therapy: The Basics for Non-OAT Providers
Dr. Joanna Lynch CCFP (AM), FCFP
Dr. Lynch is a family doctor and addiction specialist. She is also the Director of the Northern Remote Family Medicine Program at the University of Manitoba. She works at Northern Connections Medical Centre, a primary care clinic in Winnipeg that offers services to displaced northern Manitoba residents as well as people living in the inner city. She does addiction medicine in Opaskwayak Cree Nation, Red Sucker Lake, and at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. She is currently serving as the Past President of the Manitoba College of Family Physicians.
This presentation will review the pharmacology of opioid agonist therapy briefly, review the ways in which OAT may affect other aspects of care of the patient, help participants identify patients who should be referred for consideration of OAT, review referral pathways and review pathways to OAT prescribing credentials.
Learning objectives: Participants will understand the basics of opioid agonist therapy, to enable them to better support their patients with opioid use disorder. Participants will learn how to identify a patient in their practice who may benefit from opioid agonist therapy. Participants will be able to confidently navigate the options available locally for treatment of opioid use disorder.

I acknowledge that we are located on the original lands of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. I respects the longstanding relationship that the original custodians have to this land. I want to acknowledge the harms and mistakes that have happened to the original caretakes of these lands, both past and present. I respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, and I am dedicated to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
