Welcome to the Ottawa Question Bank! The Ottawa Question Bank (OQB) is a crowdsourced, comprehensive assessment tool created by medical students at the University of Ottawa. It was developed to address the growing need for self-assessment tools that can be used by medical students across Canada. Highlights include:

* 4500+ MCQs and 60 CDMQs covering every pre-clerkship lecture offered at uOttawa - Including general medical theory and pathophysiology, physician skills development, case-based decision making, anatomy, histology, pathology and radiology. * All questions are linked to at least one MCC objective - objectives that are shared by all Canadian curricula and the same objectives tested on the MCCQE Part 1 Examination. * The entire question bank has been translated and reviewed - all questions are available in French. * New questions are added on an ongoing basis * All questions can be completed on our updated question portal, allowing for an experience that closely mimics virtual MCQ examinations throughout pre-clerkship. * Our user-friendly statistics-driven portal allows learners to track their progress and identify areas for improvement * All questions have undergone 5 rounds of thorough peer-review to ensure question accuracy, appropriate difficulty and relevance to the curriculum and objectives. * All questions have a detailed answer key which explains why each answer option is correct or incorrect - designed to increase student learning through questions. * All content is reviewed on an ongoing basis. * Proceeds are donated to various Canadian organizations that support medical students, residents, and allied healthcare members. As of September 2023, the Question Bank has raised $13,000 for charity.
