From Ideas to Impact: Building Interprofessional Simulation with CAN‑SIM
The Office of Interprofessional Collaboration (OIPC) is pleased to welcome Jane Tyerman https://www.uottawa.ca/faculty-health-sciences/nursing/our-professors/jane-tyerman Co‑President of the Canadian Alliance of Nurse Educators using Simulation (CAN‑SIMhttps://can-sim.ca/about-me/), as the speaker for this Lunch and Learn session, 12-1 PM, on Friday, May 8th, 2026.
Jane will highlight CAN‑SIM’s evolution, sharing how its vision and mission have empowered educators to design, collaborate on, and deliver simulation‑based learning across healthcare professions. Whether you are new to simulation or an experienced educator, this session offers inspiration, practical insight, and opportunities for connection. You may even find yourself enjoying the last bite of your lunch, thinking about embedding an existing CAN-SIM simulation into your teaching—or collaborating to create a new one through CAN‑SIM’s developmental workshops and collaborative community. Jane will be presenting in person in the Frederic Gaspard Theatre at the Bannatyne Campus, with the session linked to Room 348, Helen Glass Centre, Fort Garry Campus.
