Dear Postdoctoral Fellows,
I am excited to invite you to participate in the third annual 3MP (3 Minute Postdoctoral Competition)https://umanitoba.ca/graduate-studies/postdoctoral-achievements-and-awards designed exclusively for postdoctoral fellows. This competition is a great opportunity to showcase your research, sharpen your communication skills, and connect with colleagues and fellow researchers across disciplines.
Details of the competition are as follows: 🗓 Deadline to apply: August 18, 2025 🗓 Date of the competition: September 19, 2025 🕒 Time: 2:00pm - 3:30pm 📍 Location: Fort Garry Campus, Senate Chambers, E3-262 Engineering Building
Inspired by the popular 3MT® (Three Minute Thesis) competition, the 3MP challenges you to present your research clearly and compellingly, in just three minutes and using only one static slide. Whether you’re working on a cutting-edge discovery, an innovative project, or a collaborative study, this is your chance to bring your research to a broader audience.

I wanted to add that if you’re at all interested in this, we have a good resource on staff. Sadia Ishaqmailto:sadia.ishaq@umanitoba.ca, who is the Faculty’s Grant Facilitator, participated in the 3MT and is available to schedule a meeting with if you wanted to run over your presentation with, or talk to about tactics.
