Hi Ali,
MAP is having an exceptional visiting keynote speaker this year on behalf of NACADA that we want to be sure that all UM advising and student services staff could experience her, along with an excellent agenda for the day covering great topics.
Can you please share this MAP invite with the advisor Exchange today?
Much appreciated, Karin

Good morning, MAP Community!
The wait is finally over! As the new semester kicks off, there is an unmistakable energy and excitement in the air across our campuses and communities. September brings a fresh wave of motivation, making it the perfect time to remind you of our upcoming annual conference on Friday, October 30.
We have a great line up of presentations and we are thrilled to bring a NACADA speaker, Bri Harvie, from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary.
The title of her Keynote is Leading Through Change: Thriving in the New Reality of Academic Advising.
Bri will have a follow up session after her Keynote address called From Surviving to Thriving: A Practical Toolkit for Sustainable Advising.
Many of you spoke of the increased demands at work and the challenges advisors face nowadays.
We hope that this year’s presentations will help you feel more prepared for the times we live in and you will leave for the weekend with a toolbox of ideas and several takeaways to apply in your advising practice.
To register for the conference, you will go to our Eventbrite page here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/manitoba-advising-professionals-map-28th-annual-...
We hope that you can join us for a day of connection, knowledge-sharing, and learning together.
For me, personally, the annual conference is an opportunity to see old friends and make new ones. I am reminded that I am not alone in my journey of advising and that we all are in this together.
I hope to see you all on Friday, October 30!!
Have a great week!!
