Hello,
I re-read the instructions and found a few things we were missing. So, I made the following minor changes to meet 2027's requirements:
* Section 2 Invited speakers: I put “(tentative)” after invited as the template instructs – “invited” suggests they did not accept yet but better be explicit and avoid desk rejection. Right? * Section 3 Prior events: Past CHum editions stated as virtual-only; in-person attendance = 0; virtual attendance estimated 30–50 (no exact headcount) – as the instructions require mentioning estimated number of [in person] attendees. Note, we estimated COLING was ~50 in last year's proposal. 2027 still proposed as full-day hybrid, with virtual-only explicitly mentioned as a fallback. * Section 3: added two new paragraphs based on our last year’s submission: labeled Technical requirements and Hybrid/virtual plan (they are required based on the instructions but not the template) * Section 7 PC: added START only (no ARR, no OpenReview). Instructions say it needs to be mentioned somewhere in the last two pages.
Please check that all is in order. Once we are happy with the proposal, one of us can submit it (happy to be that person; just let me know!) Cheers! Ori

I added the multimodal paragraph to the scope and purpose. The tagline now emphasizes multimodal - I believe the new template asks for it. I updated the organizers' order based on the order we want ACL organizers to contact us (but that's not necessarily the order we need to keep for the proceedings authorship).
We still have 1/3 of the 4th page blank. I wonder if that may cause ACL reviewers to view us less favorably... If so, perhaps adding to any of the sections before "Organizers" would help. Otherwise, if everyone is happy with it, we can submit.

Hi everyone, Thank you, Tristan and Ori, for working on the draft! I have some questions: 1. We have a tagline, but I don’t see where it is specified in the call for proposals. If we keep it, does it capture the spirit of multi-modal systems? Also, are we interested in jokes in their narrow(er) sense or humor in general? 2. Since Ori agreed to be the point of most of the organization, should he be listed first? J.

Yes, he's not participating this year.
