Hello Margaret, I hope you are well. I wanted to connect with you as in our last curriculum committee meeting, we identified the need to recruit at min one student representative. Based on review of the geographical representation on our committee, we wanted to connect with Program Leads in MB and Quebec to check with their student bodies first (these are gaps in our committee). I have worked with our recent student rep to generate language for the role. Can you either share the MB and Quebec Program Leads contacts or share the request for recruitment on my behalf. The Curriculum Committee of the Canadian Council of Physiotherapy University Programs is seeking 1-2 physiotherapy student representatives to contribute to national discussions that help shape the future of Canadian physiotherapy education. This role provides an opportunity to bring forward the student perspective in curriculum and professional practice conversations that impact entry-to-practice physiotherapy education across Canada, while collaborating with faculty, clinicians, recent graduates, and students from diverse programs and regions. Committee responsibilities include supporting the review and revision of the National Curriculum Guidelines, contributing to discussions related to academic and clinical education, and working with national professional partners to ensure alignment with evolving professional practice environments. The Committee meets a minimum of two times annually (virtual), with additional meetings as needed; members are encouraged to attend regularly, while recognizing that conflicts related to coursework, clinical placements, and examinations may arise. Student members serve a two-year term, are able to transition into serving as recent graduate members to support continuity and sustained student representation on the Committee.

Le comité se réunit au moins deux fois par an (en ligne), avec des réunions supplémentaires si nécessaire ; les membres sont encouragés à y assister régulièrement, tout en reconnaissant que des conflits liés aux cours, aux stages cliniques et aux examens peuvent survenir.
Les membres étudiants ont un mandat de deux ans et peuvent ensuite devenir membres « jeunes diplômés » afin d’assurer la continuité et une représentation durable des étudiants au sein du comité.
