Dear MAHN Students,
I am forwarding an email from Anny Chen, the Community Engaged Learning Lead, regarding the PACA workshop, please also see the attached documents.
Hi MAHN students,
Thank you again for attending our Poverty Awareness practice workshop! We hope that your time spent with us has helped deepen your understanding of the challenges that people face when living in poverty, and how you can better provide trauma-informed care as a dietitian and advocate for change as a professional and community member.

RESOURCES We've attached our 'What We Can Do' document that shares individual, community, and structural actions you can take, as well as some of our favourite resources. Please take some time to review!
In particular, I wanted to highlight:
* West Broadway Tenants Committeehttps://www.instagram.com/wbtenants/?hl=en and Right to Housing Coalitionhttps://www.instagram.com/r2hmb/?hl=en, who are actively working to support tenants in West Broadway and advocating for stronger rent regulations and more social housing, and * Make Poverty History Manitobahttps://www.instagram.com/makepovertyhistory_manitoba/?hl=en, who is advocating for a Livable Basic Benefit for the Province.
We've also attached two resource presentations on EIA and NIHB benefits. Remember that it is important to go to source material to get the most up-to-date information!
All the best, Anny
