We are pleased to invite you to the Autumn 2026 Manitoba High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Cloud Computing Workshop, taking place October 21–23, 2026, at the University of Manitoba (Bannatyne campus), Brodie 405 . https://maps.app.goo.gl/7PEXvpsCMRk9AVKc9

Open to all researchers from Manitoba institutions, this free, three-days long, in-person workshop offers a progressive hands-on journey through local and National research computing / Digital Research Infrastructure. Participants will explore HPC fundamentals, Linux scripting, job scheduling with SLURM, managing software with Lmod, using software containers, and wrap up with an example of AI workflows in HPC and introduction to OpenStack cloud computing.

Individual sessions can be selected. We will issue certificates of attendance for participants who attended all the sessions. While an active CCDB account is not required, it is recommended. A laptop will be needed for taking part in our hands-on tutorials. Registered participants will receive the full program schedule one week prior to the event.
