Volunteer Opportunity with GLOCAL Foundation of Canada GLOCALhttps://glocalfoundation.ca/ Foundation of Canada is an organization focused on youth engagement and community wellbeing. They’re recruiting volunteers (ages 12–30) for The Heat Shield, a youth-led public health project addressing extreme heat, Canada’s deadliest climate hazard. The goal is to help make important heat-safety information more clear, practical, and accessible for communities, especially those most at risk.
As a volunteer, you can get involved in:
* Translating scientific and public health info into simple, practical resources * Creating “Resilience Kits” (checklists, FAQs, guides) for communities * Outreach to local organizations (e.g., libraries, community centres) * Building skills in research, communication, and community engagement
Participation is flexible, remote, and tracked through a central platform where you can also log volunteer hours and receive recognition.
