Just a reminder, the deadline to submit your abstract and registration for CSHRF 2019 is this Friday, March 15th. The Manitoba Health Research Poster Competition (June 10) for graduate students is a great venue for students from across the health spectrum (Animal Science to zoologists... as broad as the CIHR mandate) to gain practice in presentation, receive feedback from experienced judges (awards of excellence are also available), and network with students from across the breadth of health research, both here and nationally. The opportunities for networking within the Canadian Student Health Research Forum (CSHRF) are broad, from social events (June 12) such as a social evening and dinner as well as tours... the broad-spectrum symposium by Gairdner laureates (June 13) and meeting with CIHR leadership for a workshop on Career Development (June 11). And it's all free for participants, so I'd encourage you consider this opportunity and to pass the message along to your colleagues. Dear all, The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada<https://www.asiapacific.ca/> is committed to fostering the next generation of Asia Pacific researchers and analysts. It offers up to four, one-year Post-Graduate Research Scholarships (PGRS). Successful scholars will have a background in Asia-related research in any field. The selection will be based on abilities, academic excellence, and fit with the Foundation’s research priorities. The Scholars are expected to work from the Foundation’s Vancouver office and to divide their time between working on a personal project and participating in day-to-day activities. Scholarships value: $42,000 for Master’s graduates / $45,000 for PhD graduates.
