We will be hosting Dr. Jacqui Stuart, Research Fellow in Marine Ecology at the Antarctic Research Centre in Victoria University of Wellington, NZ, as the next speaker in our CEOS Seminar Series. Dr. Stuart's presentation is titled Food for thought: Potential impacts of thinning sea ice on microalgal amino acid production in McMurdo Sound, Antarctica and will take place at 2:30 PM this Thursday, July 9th in the CEOS Theatre (545 Wallace). EDIA 0100: Foundations – Commit to change Over 500 people at UM have strengthened their commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility by taking EDIA 0100: Foundations<https://umanitoba.ca/extended-education/programs-and-courses/courses/edia-f…>, and so can you! This course, offered through the Division of Extended Education in collaboration with the Office of Equity Transformation, is offered to all UM staff, students, and faculty at no cost to learners. You’ll learn about EDIA concepts and actions through a mix of in-person and online elements, as well as two group sessions, all led by a supportive instructor. The 18-hour course is taught over 4 months, so there’s lots of flexibility to fit this in around other commitments. Learners will receive a digital badge on successful completion, and the course is the pre-requisite for the Micro-certificate in EDIA<https://umanitoba.ca/extended-education/programs-and-courses/social-innovat…>.
