Hi everyone,
You may have noticed some new furniture in the lounge recently. Earlier this year, PSGSA submitted proposals to the Endowment Fund to purchase furniture and to organize workshops for grad students. Each project that we received Endowment money for is also supplemented by PSGSA funds from plant sales and other fundraising events. Below is the list of this year's funded projects:
1. New picnic tables for the courtyard
2. New mail boxes and a new filing cabinet for the lounge
3. Two invited speakers (one in the fall and one in the winter)
4. Bioinformatics workshop (in the fall)
The new mailboxes are ready to use. Please claim a mailbox, temporarily label your mailbox with your name using the white tape in the lounge, and move your belongings over to the new mailbox. We will come up with permanent labels shortly. We plan to have the old mailboxes removed next Friday, at which point remaining mailboxes will be assigned at random.
If you have any questions about these projects or have other projects in mind that can benefit grad students, free reach to talk to anyone on PSGSA.
Kenny

Hi Annemieke and Heather
Just wondering if this could be circulated to graduate students in the department who are close to finishing their studies and who their supervisors think would be a good fit. It would be to work within the Research Intelligence branch with my other staff. Posting closes on May 13, 2019.
Thanks so much,
Patti
