Hello RT students!
We have several CORS and RT Department Committees that do not have RT student representatives, and we would greatly value additional participation. This is a concern for a couple of reasons:
* RT student voices are integral to the program (you are the reason that we are here) * Accreditation standards require us to demonstrate how students engage in program governance
Serving as a student representative is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with peers and faculty, share student perspectives, and help shape the student experience within the College Here is a list of the ways that you can contribute:
Student Association Positions
1. Senate Rep - one student required (OT, PT, RT) 2. Junior Yearbook Rep - one RT1 student required 3. RT1 Class Rep - one RT1 student required
Committee Representation
1. Rady Faculty Council - one student required (RT1, RT2, or RT3) 2. Rady Faculty Executive Council - one student required (RT1, RT2, or RT3) 3. CoRS Student Academic Appeals - one student required (RT1, RT2, or RT3) 4. CoRS Interprofessional Education Committee - one RT2 student required 5. CoRS Awards Committee - two students required (RT1, RT2, or RT3) 6. CoRS Endowment Fund Advisory - one student required (RT1, RT2 or RT3) 7. RT Council (rep 1) - one student required (RT1 or RT2) 8. RT Council (rep 2) - one student required (RT1 or RT2) 9. BRT Admissions & Selection - one RT2 student required 10. BRT Program Evaluation Committee - one RT1, one RT2, and one RT3 student required
Most committees have 1-2 meetings per year. Meetings are organized around student schedules and are usually virtual. Participation on a University committee is a great addition to your resume. It's a win-win!
We are so grateful for the students who have already said "yes". If you have questions about these opportunities and how to volunteer, please be in touch.
Thank you for your consideration!
