Start End Details Date(s): Sun, Nov.30 Sun, Nov.30 8am-10pm Building Notification (Yes or No): YES Campus-wide Notification: On Sunday November 30th from 8am until 10pm contractors for the Prairie Biologics Accelerator new building being constructed on Parking Lot A will need to take the temporary generator power offline to relocate the generator. The main risk when removing the temporary generator from the trailers is that it will need to be disconnected from the existing power source. During this time, if a power failure occurs, there will be no backup power available for the Allen, Parker, Wallace, Duff, and Buller buildings. The outage period would last for the duration it takes the contractor to disconnect the cables, lift the generator equipment off the trailers, place it on the ground, reconnect the cables, and test the system. This process is expected to take approximately 5 to 10 hours, during which backup power will not be available. Good Afternoon, Please see below notice on behalf of Christiane Pham. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Building : Robson Hall Location: Rm 311 Timeframe: September 26th , 2025 – 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM Category: Fire alarm Shutdown, Bell verification Overview: Friday September 26, Robson Hall Room 311, 7am - 8am: contractors will be testing the fire alarm bells. Bell ringing will be complete by 8am. During the fire alarm test, fire alarm bells will be pulsed for 5 seconds repetitively. It is important to note that if a true fire alarm happens to coincide with fire alarm testing, fire alarm bells will stop pulsing and will ring continuously, thereby indicating that you must exit the building and follow established evacuation procedures. Once again, pulsating fire alarm bells indicate fire alarm testing and do not require evacuation.
