Dr. Denise Belsham from University of Toronto. She has established
series of hypothalamic cell lines which we can use as an in vitro model
for the study of hypothalamic physiology (neuro-endocrinology and
metabolism).

The Winnipeg Chapter Society for Neuroscience would like to make graduate students/supervisors aware of the following upcoming course.....

The course starts September 7, 2010 and ends April 15, 2011. Registration is open to all graduate students enrolled in any Faculty/School/Department interested in Neuroscience from both the Fort Garry & Bannatyne Campuses.

(Formerly 165.710) An interdepartmental multidisciplinary course providing a comprehensive overview of cellular, molecular, developmental and systems neuroscience, as well as the neurobiology of disease. Emphasis will be placed on the application of the fundamental principles of neuroscience to contemporary lab research. ANAT 7270 <http://aurora.umanitoba.ca/banprod/bwckctlg.p_disp_course_detail?cat_term_i…> (or 080.727) (offered in alternate years) will provide instruction in neuroanatomy and structure-function in the nervous system.
