Hello, We would like to bring your attention to the following conference/research event opportunities and encourage your preparation/submission of a research abstract: 1. AFPC: deadline January 29, 2024 The AFPC invites one nominee from the College of Pharmacy for the AFPC/ Council for Continuing Pharmaceutical Education Pharmacy Student Research Poster Award. As per the attached, three students from three Faculties, Colleges or Schools of Pharmacy will be selected to present a research poster at the annual meeting of the Association of Faculties of Pharmacy of Canada. Purpose: To stimulate and foster the development of research programs and research skills, in all areas of pharmacy, by undergraduate and graduate students of Faculties, Colleges and Schools of Pharmacy in Canada Submission To be considered as a potential College of Pharmacy nominee, submit electronically to Pharmacy.Research(a)umanitoba.ca<mailto:Pharmacy.Research@umanitoba.ca> Required: i) abstract formatted as per attached ii) Letter from the advisor/supervisor confirming they support consideration for this award (template attached) Eligibility Undergraduate and Graduate Students conducting a research project in the College of Pharmacy. The success of this event depends on volunteers, especially judges. Dear all, The Rady Faculty of Health Sciences is calling for nominations for the inaugural Dean of the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences Post-Doctoral Fellowship. Please see the attached email regarding: the post-doctoral fellowship Available funds from the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences will be used to offer the Dean of the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences Post-Doctoral Fellowship. The purpose of this fellowship is to recognize the outstanding professional achievement, strong leadership skills, and notable personal service of post-doctoral fellows in the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry, Max Rady College of Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, and College of Rehabilitation Sciences. The availability of funds for this fellowship will be confirmed annually by the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences. ELIGIBILITY In years when funds are available, the Dean of the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences Post-Doctoral Fellowship ($1000 value) will be offered to post-doctoral fellows who: (1) are appointed by the University of Manitoba; (2) completed a doctoral degree within the past five years and who are seeking further research training in a particular research area, under the supervision of a University of Manitoba faculty member whose primary appointment is within the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences; (3) have demonstrated outstanding achievement or potential as a post-doctoral fellow through research activities; (4) have demonstrated strong skills in leadership, community engagement, social accountability, and/or volunteerism. SUBMISSION Submit the following documents as a single PDF file to Pharmacy.Research(a)umanitoba.ca<mailto:Pharmacy.Research@umanitoba.ca> * curriculum vitae; * copies of graduate academic transcripts (ensure that the applicant's name is clearly indicated on any web transcripts); * two letters of support - one letter of support from the nominee's supervisor, and one letter of support from an individual (in the absence of conflict of interest) who can address how the nominee meets criterion (4) above; and, * a maximum one-page typewritten statement that outlines your involvement with leadership, community engagement, social accountability, and/or volunteerism.
