Hi all, Here’s an issue that we may be able to deal with on the listserv. Krishna is making up the schedule and we should have a time for the McAlevey talk. The issue is, if you remember, that we are bussing delegates to the Labour Temple and feeding them a Ukrainian meal and afterwards the Keynote is open to the public. Attendees who come from that can sit upstairs, we thought. So we should have times for the meal and for the talk. Tim - do you have a sense of the timing for this? WEBSITE REVAMP: DRAFT 2 — REVIEW AND LET'S LAUNCH THIS AFTERNOON :)

Hi, folks! Look at this: https://1919-2019.com/staging/2144/ I still have a few kinks to work out re: spacing and text and fonts and little things that are otherworldly and increasingly irritating by the second (GAH!), BUT, I think this should be good to go for a NOON launch today, no? I hope I've answered most of everyone's major concerns from Saturday's meeting, but obviously can finesse bits as requested. Note that the site looks best from a laptop as opposed to a smartphone, but I'm figuring that out, too re: iPhone/Android display, etc. Stay tuned. Outstanding Women Leaders Recognition Project

Dear Conference Committee members, Please see the email below, which is being circulated by the MFL to its members and friends. The organizers are looking for nominations of women - union leaders, activists, and others - who have made an important contribution in promoting the rights of working people over the last 100 years. Thank you, Sharon In honour of the upcoming centennial anniversary of the 1919 Winnipeg General Strike, the MFL is pleased to be partnering with the Prairie School for Union Women and the Saskatchewan and Alberta Federations of Labour on a *Very Special Project to Showcase 100 Outstanding Women Leaders from across the Prairies who have Led the Fight for Workers Rights Over the Last 100 Years*. Pictures and bios will be displayed at the Prairie School this June 2019 so participants can learn about the Sisters and activists “on whose shoulders we stand”. Please submit nominations of Manitoban women (including anyone identifying as a woman) who have advanced workers’ rights and women’s rights in our province. We would like nominees to be diverse and reflective of our many backgrounds. Women who have been or are leaders in their unions and the community, champions of change and defenders of rights. Women who have empowered and mentored others to strengthen our movement and women’s equality. next meeting date- conflict
